Patricia Waldron is a new graduate student who joined the Zhou lab in the fall. Her research will focus on using microarray technology and other molecular techniques to study bacterial communities in heavy metal contaminated environments. She recently finished her masters work at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst, studying methanogen communities in a saline deep-subsurface shale basin. Patricia is originally from New Hampshire.
